I remember the simpler times
When I thought it was god’s bow in the sky
The colors were filled by fairies
I didn’t know what it was, still it gave me joy
But Now it’s just a rainbow,
I see the colors but don’t feel the joy
Lately I stopped looking up in the sky
Life has shown so many colors
I stopped caring for the colors in the bow
But the child inside kicks me every now and then
Asks me why don’t I have colors in my life
The colors I adored and craved as kid
Why the heart is shadowed with darkness
Why can’t I find joy in simpler things?
Little does he know, that time has gone
That kid has grown…
For him, the rainbow is gone, forever.
